Kogi East PDP: Shock as Aidoko defeats other contestants in primary that never held

Image
Eyebrows are being raised in Kogi East Senatorial district following revelations that embattled Senator Attai Aidoko polled 712 votes to beat all other candidates at the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) primaries that never held. In what look s like akin to ‘results without examination,’ Aidoko is said to have polled 712 votes to beat his other aspirants in a contest that is at best a figment of the imagination of some compromised divisional party executives led by Sani Umoru (Divisional Chairman for Dekina), zonal exco (led by Alhaji Manman Pele) and a few other compromised Party members. “Call it impunity, bizarre, criminal, fraud or magic and you will be very correct but the revelation of a result for the PDP primaries Kogi-East Senatorial Primary election, which was scheduled to hold on 2nd October, 2018 but did not hold on account of resistance from stakeholders of the party, shows the desperation of Senator Aidoko to cling up to power,” one source wh...

PROSTATE CANCER: What every man should know

Image
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and the second most common tumor diagnosed worldwide. The prostate is a walnut sized gland that is part of the male reproductive system. It is located beneath the urinary bladder and in front of the rectum. The prostate makes some of the fluid that nourishes and protects sperm cells in the semen. Just behind the prostate are the seminal vesicles, which make most of the fluid for the semen. Prostate cancer is to men what breast cancer or cervical cancer is to women. It has the potential to grow and spread quickly, but for most men, it is a relatively slow growing disease. About 20,000 men die of prostate cancer every year in Nigeria. One new case occurs every 3.3 minutes and a man dies from prostate cancer every 20 minutes. On daily basis, at least 14 men die in the country and 1 in 5 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. A black man is 70 percent more likely to develop prostate cancer than a Caucasian man, a...

Buhari is our country’s problem, lacks capacity – Ex-Info Minister

Image
In this interview he speaks extensively on burning national issues, flaying the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC for talking excessively. W hat   is your response to the Osun state governorship election that was declared inconclusive ? First  of all, for me, I am  very  happy  about the performance of the PDP, we have become a party to beat .This was clear in Osun state. The inconclusive decision of  Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC,  was not fair but if the rules did say that the margin of majority which should have obviously made PDP be declared winner , for  example in one local government PDP was denied one thousand votes if this had been added to the votes I am sure the PDP would have  won completely. The important thing is that PDP has performed  very well contrary to the expectations of many and it demonstrates what is ahead of us. PROFESSOR Sam Oyovbaire was Minister of Information Aga...
