Police PRO,  Dolapo Badmus  has thrown a shade at  Naira Marley  as news circulates that the singer has been arrested by  EFCC on his birthday. Badmus, who shows a strong stance against internet fraudsters aka  Yahoo boys, took to her Instagram page to mock the Yahoo  boys advocate. She wrote, "The only authentic NAIRA I know is Nigeria’s legal tender. Any other naira attached to something is a counterfeit" Dolapo Badmus’s IG post Earlier today, it was reported that Nigerian singer, Naira Marley was arrested and being questioned at the EFFC office in Ikoyi, Lagos. His arrest might be in connection with his statements on social media which glorifies internet fraudsters aka Yahoo boys.

Former BBNaija housemate,  Dee-One  has reacted to the arrest of Nigerian singer,  Naira Marley  by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) EFCC operatives on Friday morning picked up  Naira Marley , real name Afeez Fashola. Tony Orilade , EFCC, spokesman told Newsmen on Friday that the commission will provide details later in the day. “We shall be releasing a detailed statement on the arrest. For now, what I can tell you now is he is with us” Marley, some days ago, called on Nigerians to pray for Yahoo boys rather than condemn them. In a viral video, he said Yahoo boys are the reason why money circulates to the common man. Reacting,  Olamide  urged fans of Marley to stay encouraged. Two new buildings allegedly owned by former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose have been sealed by agents of the state government, The Natin reports. The state government through the Ministry of Housing, Urban and Physical Development, said the twin duplexes were sealed for lack of approved plan and permit. The buildings, which are adjacent the official residence of the Deputy Governor, are located in the Government Reservation Area (GRA), Ado-Ekiti within the precincts of the Government House. The contractor handling the project began work about four months ago after the buildings erected on the plot were pulled down to give way for the new edifices. The official seal closing down the buildings was pasted on the gate and was seen by our reporter during a visit to the site on Friday. Former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh, on Thursday, narrated before the Federal High Court in Abuja, why President Muhammadu Buhari wants to jail him. Metuh Metuh, who is facing money laundering charges alongside his firm, Destra Investment Limited, spoke on a day he mounted the witness box to personally defend the seven-count charge the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, preferred against him. Testifying as the 15th Defence Witness, DW-15, the erstwhile PDP spokesman, said his trial was a calculated attempt by the All Progressives Congress, APC, led government to silence him from criticizing President Muhammadu Buhari’s dictatorial tendencies. The Justice Mojisola Olatoregun-led Federal High Court in Lagos has, Monday, denied the immediate past governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose bail in an 11-count charge bordering on money laundering, abuse of public office, criminal breach of trust and stealing, up to the tune of  N6.9bn preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. Fayose who arrived the court this morning, around 8:30 am, was brought in by officials of the EFCC. Fayose has been in the detention of the EFCC for the past 5 days. When the charges were read to him, he pleaded not guilty. His counsel, Kanu Agabi, filed a bail application on behalf of his client but the presiding judge, Mojisola Olatoregun rejected his bail application and ordered that Fayose should remain in EFCC custody till Wednesday. The case has been adjourned to Wednesday.
