2019: Atiku attacks Tinubu for supporting Buhari

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, on Saturday lambasted a National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, for insisting on supporting President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election bid in 2019. Abubakar, a former Vice President, warned that Tinubu’s alleged “arrogance will fall off his eyes” in 2019 because Nigerians will vote against Buhari. The Waziri of Adamawa, who made this remark through the spokesperson of his campaign organisation, Segun Sowunmi, said Nigerians won’t allow Tinubu deceive them in 2019. Again, The Economist Says Buhari Will Lose In 2019, Predicts Victory For Atiku

The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), the research unit of The Economist Magazine, has predicted that the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, will defeat President Muhammadu Buhari of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2019 presidential election. This prediction is coming as the Governor of Kogi State, Mr. Yahaya Bello, on Wednesday night in Abuja, told President Buhari and the APC that the PDP “will not be a push over” in the general elections. The Economist’s forecast came less than two months after it had earlier predicted that Buhari would lose the election. The EIU made the latest prediction in its country report on Nigeria, dated October 17, which was obtained yesterday. Afenifere reacts to Atiku choosing Peter Obi as running mate

The pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere has reacted to the choice of Peter Obi as Atiku Abubakar’s running mate. DAILY POST earlier broke the news on Atiku opting for the former Governor as  his running mate in the 2019 presidential tussle. Speaking on Atiku’s decision, Afenifere’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr Yinka Odumakin in a short statement urged both Atiku and Obi to remain steadfast in restructuring the country. The statement read: “All we concerned about at this stage is there were commitments by Atiku about the restructuring of Nigeria. “If it is true that he has picked Peter Obi as his running mate, he should join him to work out clear cut programme on restructuring and ensure that ensure that he remains steadfast on that because that is the main issue that will determine the next election.”

A source close to the National Chairman of the party, Mr. Uche Secondus, told The Guardian, yesterday night, that although Obi has been endorsed by many party leaders, he was yet to be formally announced because of a few grey areas to be sorted out. He, however, said that such issues, which he did not disclose, would soon be resolved, as consultations were being concluded at various levels and the announcement might be made soon. Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has reacted to the emergence of Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, as the presidential candidate for Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2019 general election. Atiku scored 1532 votes to defeat his closest rival, Aminu Tambuwal who polled 693 votes. Reacting, Fani-Kayode, who took to his Twitter page to congratulate Atiku on his victory, asked the ruling All Progress Congress, APC, to get ready for war. He wrote, “Congrats to the Waziri of Adamawa, Atiku Abubakar on a great victory.
