FUTO Final Year Student Drowns While Swimming In Imo State

 A final year student of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Imo State, drowned while swimming. The deceased identified as Kester Gabriel, a 500 level Material and Metallurgical Engineering student,  died inside the Otammiri river in Ihiagwa area of the state. He was said to have returned to school, on Sunday, after his Industrial Training, only to die on Wednesday (yesterday) while swimming. His body has since been recovered and deposited in a mortuary.

F ederal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS, yesterday disclosed that it had recorded a remarkable performance in terms of revenue collection this year, adding that, as at October 31st, it recorded a collection of N4.3trillion. Dammy Krane Nigerian music star, Dammy Krane has revealed what he learnt during his time in prison. It would be recalled that the  Amin   singer was last year docked in Canada over credit card fraud allegations. Uche Nwosu, a former Chief of staff and son-inlaw to Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has declared that the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Oshiomole, cannot scuttle his 2019 governorship ambition. Speaker of the house of representatives, Yakubu Dogara has said unless the people of Bogoro, Dass and Tafawa Balewa federal constituency of Bauchi state put an end to perennial ethno-religious crises, there will be no perpetual peace in the areas. How Ojukwu’s first son died

Chief Debe Sylvester Odumegwu-Ojukwu, first son of the late Head of State of the defunct Republic of Biafra, Chief Emeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, is dead. A member of the family, who confirmed the incident, said he slumped, and lost consciousness last Thursday. Late Debe Ojukwu The late Ojukwu did not regain consciousness until he was pronounced dead on Friday at a private hospital where he was taken to, in Lagos. A condolence register has been opened by the family at the Lekki Phase 1 home of the deceased who was the President-General of Umudim Nnewi Union in Lagos. The deceased, a lawyer and retired Police officer, died at the age of 62. WAEC: Fayose reacts to Buhari’s results attestation, tells Nigerians what to do

The past governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has reacted to issuance of the attestation of school result from the West African Examination Council, WAEC to President Muhammadu Buhari. Recall that Buhari had been under attack after he failed to submit his credentials to the Independent National Electoral Commission ahead of the 2019 elections. Buhari only submitted an affidavit wherein he claimed that his credentials were with the Secretary to the Military Board. However,  Buhari on Friday received the attestation his school results  from the West African Examination Council, WAEC, and displayed it online to Nigerians. This, however, did not douse doubts surrounding the certificate saga as some Nigerians queried the authenticity of the attestation.
