INEC shifts Kogi, Bayelsa Guber Polls to Nov. 16

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has shifted the governorship election in Kogi and Bayelsa states to November 16.

Initially slated for November 2, the commission decided to shift the polls following appeals by the Bayelsa state government and stakeholders for a shift as the earlier date is legally set aside as Thanksgiving Day in Bayelsa.
